Edmund Dampies is the founder of Work in Progress, a boutique advisory service that partners with organisations to resolve complex workplace issues, ensure legal compliance, and build healthy, high-performance teams. With a strong track record across major South African employers -including Pick n Pay, EDCON and the University of Cape Town -Edmund brings a practical, solutions-oriented approach to managing workplace conflict, union engagement, and organisational change. He has 19 years experience in the field of HR, skills facilitation and labour law and holds a Master of Laws (LLM)in Labour Law from the University of Cape Town, and BTech degrees in both Human Resource Management and Human Resource Development from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
